What we do with what you send us.

This notice covers kresvik.com and the Guardian interest list on it. Kresvik is a trade name of Jooule LLC, a New York limited liability company, c/o ZenBusiness Inc., 41 State Street, Suite 112, Albany, NY 12207, United States. Write to hello@kresvik.com about anything on this page.

What we collect

What you type into the interest-list form: the kind of property, the city and state it is in, your name, your e-mail address, and anything you choose to add. We do not ask for a street address, and you should not send one.

To stop the form being flooded, the server also counts recent submissions from each network address. For that it keeps a scrambled tag of the address - never the address itself, and never with what you sent - and deletes the tag once it has gone two hours unused, by the next time anyone sends the form. A visit leaves lines in our web server’s logs - one for each file your browser asks for, and one in the error log if something goes wrong - described under Server logs below.

Before the notification e-mail goes out, what you sent is saved to our own server, with the time it arrived. That server is in the United States. We administer the server ourselves; it is a virtual machine at a US hosting provider. The notification e-mail is kept in our mailbox at our e-mail provider.

Why

To tell you when Guardian is ready for you to try, and to reply to you. We use what you send for nothing else.

The server logs and the form’s flood count are there to keep the site running and secure: to find what is broken, and to spot and stop abuse.

Who else sees it

Resend (resend.com), our service provider, and the infrastructure it sends through deliver the notification e-mail to us. The hosting provider holds the machine, and with it what you send. Our e-mail provider holds our mailbox, and with it the notification e-mail and any e-mail you send us.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to take you off the list, or until we close the list - whichever comes first. That goes for the saved record and the notification e-mail alike.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to hello@kresvik.com. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Cookies and tracking

There are none. This site sets no cookies, loads nothing from another domain, runs no analytics, and stores nothing in your browser - no local storage, no session storage, nothing that would let us recognize you on a later visit.

A Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal from your browser therefore changes nothing: there is no tracking here for it to switch off, and no other company tracks you through this site, on it or across other sites.

Server logs

Our web server keeps standard access and error logs. Each access-log line records the time, the address requested, the response, your IP address, the browser you used and the page you came from; an error-log line records the time, your IP address and what went wrong. We do not use these logs for analytics, we do not build profiles from them, and we do not combine them with anything you send through the form. They are deleted automatically after 30 days. What you type into the form is never written to them.

If you write to us

An e-mail to hello@kresvik.com is kept in our mailbox at our e-mail provider. We keep your message and your address to answer you and to deal with what you wrote about, for as long as that takes, or until you ask us to delete them.

Security

This site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). What you send through the form is saved outside the part of the server that the web can reach, in a file that only we can read.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has sent us something, write to hello@kresvik.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this notice

When this notice changes, the new version goes up on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If a change affects what we do with what you sent to the interest list, we also e-mail you about it.
