Technology comes in pieces.
Too much of the work
goes into making them fit.
Kresvik is a monitoring and network services company. We make devices that report on a building and bring their own connection, and we tell you when something changes. Guardian, for buildings that stand empty, is where we start.
We’ve watched that wasted work up close. We spent more than a decade building software and systems for other companies, and every project was different. The problem underneath was always the same: every business was stitching together a dozen vendors for the basics.
- Hardware from one.
- A network from another.
- Somewhere to run the software.
- A way to keep it all connected and running.
- A way to reach a person when something went wrong.
Nothing fit together, and every piece came with its own bill, its own contract, and its own support line. When something broke, it broke at the joins, and every vendor could point at the next one.
So we decided to build the pieces ourselves, and to make them fit.
We design the devices and their enclosures, the radio link between them, the firmware on them and the service behind them. The chips and modules inside come from suppliers, and so do the cellular network, some of the servers and the delivery of e-mail and SMS - how it all fits together is ours. One company answers for all of it.
We start
with Guardian.
An empty building is where pieces that don’t fit cost the most. Nobody is there when the Wi-Fi goes down with the power, or when a sensor stops reporting. You find out when you walk back in.
Guardian watches any building that stands empty - a home over a workday, a vacation home in winter, an office over a long weekend, a workshop, a rental between tenants. It senses frost, leaks, power outages and open doors, and when something changes, it tells a person.
- No camera, no microphone. Not switched off - absent from the bill of materials. Ever.
- Silence is an alarm.Every device carries a heartbeat. If one goes quiet, that is an alert too.
- Its own connection. The Hub brings its own 4G link, so no Wi-Fi is needed - and alerts arrive by e-mail without the app.
In development. Tell us about your building, and we’ll write when there is something to try.

Guardian is where we start. It’s not where we’ll stop.
Whatever comes next, we’ll build it the same way: design the pieces, make them fit, and have one company answer for all of it. We’re small, and we plan to be here for a long time.
